Notable Projects

At Ravens Marine, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Each year, we introduce new shapes, concepts, and improvements, enhancing the versatility of our offerings to the marine industry. Our expertise extends to designing and manufacturing custom items, including bridges, ladders, catwalks, and specialized projects that meet ADA requirements. Our state-of-the-art shop is equipped to engineer and produce tailored solutions, ensuring there are no limits to what we can achieve to meet your unique needs.

Project: Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line needed a platform and ramp system that was both lightweight and compact enough to be moved by 2,500# forklifts, yet strong enough to handle heavy customer and luggage traffic. We designed 16′ x 16′ platforms with adjustable legs and 4′ x 20′ tapered ramps, complete with custom fork slots for easy transport across different ports.

Project: Citrus Bowl Stage

We designed a 20′ x 20′ stage with stairs that can be quickly rolled on and off the field without the need for a forklift. The stage is built in three bolted sections, supports a 100# live load, and features 360-degree wheels at 18 different locations.

Project: Long Island Railroad

We designed and built a 20’ tall aluminum stair system with a 44’ long crossover bridge, allowing customers to safely cross over railroad tracks to reach the parking lot. The entire structure is encased in aluminum mesh to prevent falls and secure the tracks from debris.

Project: Waterford Harbor Marina

Over the past 15 years and 16 phases, we’ve constructed heavy-duty aluminum dock frames with 1×6 grooved ipe decking, complete with utility packages, power pedestals, and almag cleats. Despite multiple hurricanes, Kemah has consistently praised the docks for their durability and longevity. Phase 17 is expected to begin in 2025.

Project: 'I Am Legend' Bridge

We built a 12′ x 72′ heavy-duty bridge designed to support a 4,000-pound vehicle, which Will Smith drove across in the film. The bridge was custom-painted to appear apocalyptic, resembling aged, rusted steel. After completion, it was shipped to NYC for the movie’s production.

Project: Liberty National Golf Course

We designed and engineered a heavy-duty ramp, platform, and gangway system secured to a floating steel barge. To meet ADA accessibility requirements within the site’s footprint, we utilized a custom switchback system. The structure, built from 6061T-6 aluminum, supports 100# live loads and includes full handicap accessibility components.

Project: Sawmill River Bridge

Mayor Mike Spano of Yonkers, NY reached out to Ravens with a special request for Van Der Donck Park. With a tight 3-week deadline, we designed, built, and shipped an 8′ x 65′ bridge featuring a 12″ center camber, ipe decking, and full handicap accessibility—all in a single piece, ready for installation before the park’s dedication.
